Sign ups for my fall classes 2021 are going on now.  If you are interested please go to this blog and copy the registration form and get it back to me as soon as you can.  I’m usually full by the end of February.

For the month of December we will be reviewing counting, shapes, phonics, days of the week, pledge of allegiance and hopefully be able to have each child that is in the 4/5 year old classes write their names.  We already painted and put together wooden snowmen that they have brought home.  We had a snowball fight in class this past week and we’re playing a lot of Christmas games so we can win prizes each day.

Follow your calendars. We will start back up on January 4th.  We will start working harder on our sight words (reading) and the months of the year.

Because of covid there will no Christmas program and not even Santa this year.  I am so sorry for these little ones not being given these fun activities so that’s why I’m making the month of December so much fun..they totally deserve it! ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️

May you have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.  see you back January 4th/5th depending on which day your child’s class is scheduled.

 Dear parents

There will be no preschool because of Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ— this coming week.  I want you to know I’m getting everything prepped for the next few weeks tho.  We will be painting and when the kids paint I have old t-shirts to put on them.  If you want to you can dress them in old clothes just in case.  Please wear short sleeve shirts/blouses.  That makes it easier for them and me❤️.

I am sorry to say that because of COVID I am having trouble finding a Santa to come.  I do have a back-up plan and really hope I won’t have to use it.  If you know any Santa’s please let me know.  Mine moved to Texas for two years...Thanku

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ—

Finally after my family’s COVID we can really get going in preschool.  I’m concerned that only a few children can write their names and/or pledge allegiance to the flag.  We should be way past that by now.  So I encourage you to work at home with your child regarding writing his/her name.  We will continue to work on memorizing the pledge of allegiance.

The month of November we will follow the calendar, however, we will also be learning the days of the week.  The children are learning their phonics, but I want to be sure they can identify the letters both capital and lower case.

My husband is home now. He lost 40 lbs and wants badly to get back to work.  He’s bored he says.  That tells me he is better.  We are blessed he made it and it was pretty frightening to see how fast you can go when your lungs are filling up with water so quickly. It’s why he couldn’t breathe.  It has been a very interesting 2020 for everyone.  We all have tests to go through.  I’m grateful for that knowledge.  Thank you again for your support.  I love your children❤️

Update:  my husband is doing much better. He is still in the icu but his  oxygen levels are almost where they should be.  They are not going to do anything to his heart now.  He’s happy about that.  While all this has been going on I contracted COVID and I’m under quarantine until the end of the month.  Preschool will start back up on November 2nd and 3rd.  Again, thank you for your patience.  I know we are missing our Halloween dress up party and would like to have it when the children come back November 2 And 3rd.  Please bring your wrapped treats and/or surprises, have your child dressed up in his/her Halloween costume and let’s have a back to school Halloween party!  Thank you very much๐Ÿง™๐Ÿป‍♀️

There will be preschool on Monday October 12 and preschool on Tuesday October 13.  However, We just found out yesterday that my husband is going in on Wednesday October 14 to have A heart procedure done called an (Oblation). It will last anywhere from 3 to five hours depending what happens. His heart has been in afib and they’ve tried to fix it twice, but it just doesn’t want to work right.  He is in heart failure but Wouldn’t know it. Thank goodness for medication because his medication is keeping him alive for now.  They will keep him overnight and depending on how it goes he should be home Friday.  I will be taking him to Idaho falls (eirmc) on Wednesday and I need to be with him. I will not be teaching preschool oct 14 and 15 and will be teaching again the following week after.  If u have any questions please feel free to call or ask me on Monday and Tuesday.  Everything is going to be ok.  Please if you think about it say a little prayer for him.  What a wonderful week it was.  I’m getting to know new kids as well as loving the kids that were here last year.

4-5 yr old classes:  both classes sang their alphabet song, counted to 50 as a group, named six different shapes,(Circle, square, oval, star, triangle, quatrafoil) made their first train with a,a,alligator, learned four sight words (a, I, see, can). They have their first reading book now.  What I would love you to do is help your child slowly sing the alphabet song, put on their wall the train (as we will each wed and thurs have a new letter for you to put up), put the sight word cards on your fridge and as they walk by they can memorize each new word. Each night before going to bed please have your child read the sight word book and then go over the train sounds.  If you have any questions please please just ask me.  I am so proud of each one of your children. They are positive and want to learn...right where I want them. Thank you for having such wonderful kids and for the privilege of teaching each one of them.

No classes between October 5 thru the 9th.

3-4 yr old class:  counted to twenty, learning the pledge of allegiance, Love playing with the parachute and  the freeze game.  We went over singing the alphabet, learned “the apple tree” song and a lot of “a” words with playing spin the bottle, played concentrated with pictures that start with “a”.  The children are learning to share and trying to listen. I’m trying to teach them to raise their hands because every voice is important to hear.  They love me to read to them at the end of class and they particularly loved the “what color is your underwear” book and “Leo the monster” who has the hiccups.  All in all I think they had a great week. I can’t wait for next week. It’s going to be great!

The last week of the month I will put the new calendar in a packet envelope in your child’s backpack. That is where you will put your payment back in and have your child return it to me by the first of each month. Also, inside your envelope there will be sight word cards for the 4-5 yr old classes for you to put on your fridge at home to help your child memorize the words.  This will help his/her reading during the School year.

As you read the message below please come to my preschool. In the driveway, I will set up a table for you to pick up your packet/folder. Thanku

*4-5 year old classes:  I’ve been thinking of ways I can help my preschoolers continue learning. I put together a packet for each child with their name on it to come and pick up on Monday morning March 30th. I did not set a time.. just to be safe.  There is a colored folder also with your child’s name on it - please take yours and make copies of the practice sheets enclosed on the right side of the folder behind their sight word books.

I don’t know how much longer this is going to last so there will not be any preschool until further notice.  Thank you for your patience and May you all be well❤️

*If the 3-4 year old class mothers would like me to make packets for their children,  please let me and I will be happy to do that for you too!

Tuesday, January 21, 2020

It was so good teaching again this week. With the school closures and sicknesses it has really been a tough January.  Today my Tuesday class was fantastic.  We practiced our phonics, identified letters, shapes, sight words with two new words(come-here), numbers up to 20, words that rhyme, months of the year.  Some still need help writing their name, but overall it was wonderful.

I will do the same for the Wednesday 4-5 yr olds class tomorrow and I can’t wait to review with them all the learning they have accomplished.

My 3-4 yr olds are slowly learning how to trace, count to 10, a few can write their names too. They have 4 different shapes memorized and are really trying hard to say the months of the year. They love their phonics and learning all the songs that go with each letter.  They’re right where they should be.

I’m accepting new applications for fall 2020. My Tuesday-Thursday class has two openings left.  Please if your interested fill out your child’s preschool application.  I put one in each of my 3-4yr olds February calendar envelope in case your interested.

I love your children and can’t thank you enough for the privilege of teaching and having lasting friendships with them. Thank you so very much.

Sunday, January 19, 2020

There will be preschool Jan 20th.  We missed all last week so we are having preschool tomorrow with regular schedules even tho school is out for the district.

Wednesday, January 15, 2020

Today is wed Jan 15th. Madison school district cancelled schools today in the area because of wind and snow drifting.  So preschool is cancelled too. Hopefully, tomorrow we will be able to have school again. I will text you in the morning for my Thursday class if school is cancelled. If you don’t hear from me then it means there will be school. Here’s hoping๐Ÿ‘
