What another great week of learning.  The children are blooming like flowers and it's not even spring!

Heads up...next Monday (jan29)and Tuesday (jan30) we will be learning the letter "P".  Please have your child dressed in his/her pjs.  We will have a pancake breakfast and then a little later we will have a puppet show with popcorn while learning everything we can about p.

Kindergarten registration will be coming up in the next several months.  Right now I am prepping them and helping them to be ready for questions they will be asked to answer.  Shapes, numbers, colors and letters.  I hope the letter train your child has been bringing home every week has easy access so your child can go over and over learning sounds and upper and lower case letters.  We are working hard in preschool now with that and the days of the week.

My 4-5 yr old classes love counting to 100 with a few still trying to keep up.  It's ok if they can count to 20.  That's all that is required. They love learning and pushing themselves. It's exciting to see them do it.

Sight words are completely going along great. They're reading level is great.  We are now writing our sight words and again the children are so excited to be writing.

The 3-4 yr old class is doing awesome too. They are going to see tomorrow a live octopus...as well as my 4-5 yr old classes...thought they would enjoy that.  They are counting to 20, which is remarkable. They are learning more shapes, colors, opposites, words that rhyme.

No preschool on Monday January 15. (Human rights day) and the Madison school will be out of school too.

Welcome back students to preschool.  This past week we reviewed everything we have learned thus far.  The 4-5 yr old classes knew all their sight words, counted easily to 50, understood what the sound of each letter is and also recognized each letter..upper and lower case.  We reviewed shapes, colors opposites.

We are going to learn our days of the week, months of the year, and start doing alittle math. My 3-4 yr old class are introduced to these things and we will see what they can handle too.  They are sponges and love learning..that makes all the difference. Looking forward to another great week!
